Tex-tiles

Tex-tiles are tiles made of a translucent kind of porcelain. Glazing is not necessary, which gives these tiles a unique soft tactile surface with internalĀ scattering- reminiscent of cotton pads or clouds. By pressing fabric into the clay during production, the softness and texture of lace is captured inĀ the ceramics. Lighting can be placed behind the tiles, which make them appear to glow from within, revealing the beautiful imperfections of the relieved surface.
